Stop re-alerting emails

Post by somerandomguy »

HI all,

Our Cacti environment consists of:
Cacti 1.2.16
Cacti Spine 1.2.16
Thold 1.5.2
CentOS Linux release 8.3.2011

We're trying to setup Cacti so we don't receive re-alerting emails - with a desired outcome of receiving an email when a device is down and one for when the device has returned.
With the current setup we are receiving sporadic re-alerts every 10-30 minutes as shown in the images.

I've tried setting the 'Re-Alerting' option value to 0 but it is still occurring.
I'm sure there is something simple I'm overlooking and any help is greatly appreciated.

Host Up / Down is not controlled by thresholds, and I believe that functionality was moved to the Monitor plugin. You might check the Setting for Monitor that says "How Often to Resend Emails" but I think that is just for latency emails, not Up/Down. If not, submit a feature request on the Monitor plugin repo.
