No device templates in version 1.2.23

I installed version 1.2.23 with spine and everything installed alright, but i am missing all of the basic device templates. I tried installing a couple, they indicate everything went good but event those do not show up when I try to set up a new device. Am I missing something? Is this a known issue with this version. I don't see anything in the threads and if i search for 1.2.23 or version 1.2.23 it says my search has too common of words.
