I used:
Cat 1 = cardstock base
Cat 2 = ink (stamped leaves on the background)
Cat 3 = stencil butter (on the wooden leaves)
             Frames ( metal brads)
Cat 4 = string (in the flower clusters)
Cat 5 = sequins, artificial flowers, glitter and leaves

1. BASE - white cardstock & all of the alcohol inking was done on either photo paper or poster board (I was experimenting!)
2.  COLOR the red around the santa photo & in 3 of the ornaments is all alcohol ink pieces done in shades of red with silver foiling
3. TEXTURE - I popped the big santa photo on foam, the center firetruck at the bottom is in a flip flap and is covering a  tag that is also popped (the journaling under will tell how out fire dept. decorates the trucks and visits EVERY street over a 3 day period in December) More texture in the stacked christmas ornaments & the greenery
4. FIBERS - there is black twine for the ornament "strings" and ribbon on the tag that is under the flip flap
5. EMBELLISHMENTS - the cluster of ornaments was made from Elizabeth Craft Dies, they all have silver foil tops over either alcohol inked or red foil backgrounds.  Each ornament has a tiny sprig of greenery at the top

Here is mine. I chose a tag as my base. I used acrylic paint, collage paper and Tim Holtz crayons for the colors. For the texture, I used stencil butter. I used fibers for the flower stems and embellishments include brads and a button.

Super cool composition. I love the brads and buttons for the flower centers.

Oh how exciting to win.  I had so much fun making that tag.  I have so much mixed media stuff but I just don't take the time to use/play with it.  This was the challenge that nudge in that direction.  Planning on using it more and also added more colors of the PanPastel chalks  to my wish list.  They are so easy to use and have beautiful results.

Thanks Sonja.
